The following song , by the tremendous voice of Lesley Gore , who used to "cry" at her own "party" ,under the safety wings of Quincy Jones back in the '60's , had a huge impact on me , from the first time i ever listened to it ....It blew my mind away , and i'm pretty sure , that i'll never be able to get over it....

It suddenly came back to me last night , when i watched the movie "An American Crime" based on a true story , and had the chance to listen "You don't own me " again , after many...many years....

Apparently , it's "a song of life and death" , for DEPECHER , and it's dedicated , to every single one of you out there , that NEVER felt the miserable need to distinguish the meanings of "love" and "unconditional".....

Brilliant lyrics , catchy melody , and lots of Motown feeling that speaks straight to the heart....

What else could you ask for ??

P.S : There's also been a decent cover version of that song by the Blow Monkees , included in the Dirty Dancing O.ST...BUT NOTHING COMPARES TO Lesley's irresistibly seductive voice ...and you can count on that ! ! !
